Auricular Acupuncture

Auricular Acupuncture, also known as ear acupuncture, is a gentle, evidence-informed treatment that involves placing small, sterile needles at specific points on the outer ear. These points correspond to different areas of the body and nervous system and are used to promote balance, relaxation, and healing.
Most treatments last 20–45 minutes and are generally relaxing and well-tolerated. Many patients report feeling calmer, more grounded, and better able to manage stress after treatment.
Auricular Acupuncture is often used as a complementary therapy alongside medication management and psychotherapy to support the mind-body connection and promote overall wellness.
Labratory Analysis
We are integrated with Quest laboratory, and will order labwork
according to presentation upon initial evaluation, symptoms, and lifestyle. This may include blood work and urinalysis to identify any imbalances in the body that could be contributing to psychiatric symptoms. Correcting these imbalances is a key part of healing mental health illnesses.
Nutritional Supplementation
A combination of both traditional psychiatric medications and natural supplements may be prescribed and recommended based on psychiatric evaluation, observation, and biometrics. At Salt & Light Behavioral Health & Wellness, we offer Creyos Cognitive Testing, a scientifically validated, computer-based assessment that measures different areas of thinking and brain function. The testing is designed to provide objective information about how your brain processes information and can be a helpful tool when evaluating concerns such as:
- Attention and concentration difficulties
- Possible ADHD
- Memory concerns
- Brain fog or cognitive changes
- Executive functioning challenges (organization, planning, and task completion)

Genetic Testing
At Salt & Light, we use Tempus pharmacogenetic testing.
Pharmacogenetic Testing looks at 3 different areas
- Pharmacodynamic markers: (what the drug does to your body.) Certain genetic variants can change the ways SSRI’s and stimulants work in the body.
- Pharmacokinetic markers: (how the body metabolizes medications)
- Immunological markers: (Can show increased risk for serious side effects)
Medication Assisted Treatment
Vivitrol
We offer Vivitrol injection for alcohol and Opioid use disorder.
Vivitrol is a brand name for extended-release naltrexone, an injectable
medication used primarily in the treatment of alcohol dependence and opioid use disorder. It works by blocking the effects of opioids and reducing alcohol cravings.
Suboxone
Suboxone is a combination medication that contains buprenorphine (a partial opioid agonist) and naloxone (an opioid antagonist). It is primarily used in the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD) to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings while minimizing the risk of misuse.

Referrals will be made to appropriate specialists outside the scope of practice and expertise on an as-needed basis. These may include for higher level of care, therapy, and neuro-psych testing.
